All in support of CHUF, Children's Heart Unit Fund

We're inviting food lovers to join us for a special Live Charity Cook-Along to learn how to make a home style Chicken Curry and Pulao Rice from scratch - all while raising funds for a worthy cause. This unique event promises an unforgettable experience, blending traditional Indian cooking techniques with a charitable mission.

Participants will cook along in real-time with My Delhi's Head chef, following a simple ingredient list and instructions to create the perfect chicken curry, seasoned with bay leaves, green chillies, kasoori methi, and garam masala, as well as basmati rice, perfectly prepared with green cardamom and bay leaves for that extra aroma.

What You’ll Need to Join the Cook-Along

The recipe calls for essential ingredients, like 1kg of chicken, red onions, tomatoes, and spices like cumin, turmeric, and coriander, alongside basmati rice for a complete meal. Participants should have all ingredients and cooking tools on hand, including pots, spatulas, and a blender, to ensure they can follow every step of the class.

Support a Great Cause

While many cooking classes come with a hefty price tag, My Delhi is asking only for any donation you can give to participate, all of which will go to CHUF, Children's Heart Unit Fund.

CHUF is a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people born with heart conditions by enhancing the services and facilities of the Children’s Heart Unit at Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital, one of only two dedicated children’s heart surgery units in the UK. CHUF funds essential medical equipment, staff training, and family support services, striving to create an environment where children with heart issues receive world-class care and support.

This event is a perfect chance to cook alongside family and friends, discover new flavours, and support those in need. All funds raised will help a great cause, and My Delhi encourages participants to donate what they can through the JustGiving page at justgiving.com/campaign/mydelhi
